Eleanor, my first event at Stock Brook last night was brilliant, it is so nice to get dressed up and everyone looked so glam! Although I didn’t exchange numbers with anyone I did meet 3 other ladies who were really good fun, it was their first event too so we have decided to come to the next event together. I feel compelled to write to tell you. A year ago my life was at an all time low; all my friends were happily married and at 45 I didn’t know which way to turn. Another lonely weekend was just not an option, so I finally called the number on the advert which had been stuck to my fridge for weeks. Frank and I met at one of your favorite functions in Chelmsford. It was Frank’s first event. Lucky him, he met me! Anyway, he took my number and although I liked him very much, I just thought he was a very nice man, nothing more. But he phoned and arranged to meet in London and well, you can guess the rest. We married on 5 June this year and I just wanted you to know how grateful I am to Across The Room, and Frank is too, of course.
