Think of horse racing and you think of Royal Ascot. For almost 250 years, Royal Ascot has established itself as a national institution & the centrepiece of the British social calendar as well as being the ultimate stage for the best racehorses in the world. Tradition, pageantry, fashion & style all meet in a glorious setting at one of the most beautiful racecourses in the country. Ladies Day is the jewel in the historic crown.

Each day follows the same format with The Royal Procession making its way from the Golden Gates, along the racecourse & into the Parade Ring from 2.00pm each afternoon. The first race of six each day is at 2.30pm & the last race is at 5.35pm, after which race goers are invited to celebrate their winnings as they sing traditional favourites & a few new ones around the bandstand at 6.00pm.

Thursday’s highlight is the Group 1 Gold Cup, a battle of stamina & determination over two miles & four furlongs. Style, elegance & the height of the summer social calendar all combine on Gold Cup Day, colloquially known as ‘Ladies’ Day’. Although the whole week of Royal Ascot is a fashion show like no other, it is Thursday when the designer creations & millinery masterpieces reach new heights.

Join us in our very own 'alternative' hospitality tent for a bubbles and buffet luncheon with a spread befitting the occasion. By the afternoon cream tea hopefully we'll all be celebrating our winnings!
